Brew Guide - Chemex

What you need:
Medium-Coarse Ground Coffee - 43 grams
Water -  700ml/680 grams  (205ºF)
Chemex Square Filter
Gooseneck Kettle
Scale- Optional

Step 1: Prep Filter
Unfold the filter and place it into the Chemex, making sure that the three-fold side is facing the spout.

Step 2: Rinse
Rinse the filter with the hot water to seal it against the glass. This step removes the papery taste while also preheating your Chemex.

Step 3: Add Grounds
Pour the grounds into the filter and gently shake, flattening the bed.

Step 4: Bloom Coffee
Starting in the center and working outwards, gently pour twice the amount of water that you have coffee into your grounds. Once the coffee begins to bloom, wait 45 seconds before going to the next step. 

Step 5: Pour Water
Pour the water, starting in the center and working outwards like before, then back into the middle until you've used all of the water.

Step 6: Let the Water Drip
Watch the water as it drips and once the grounds begin to show, remove the filter.
Step 7: Serve & Enjoy
Pour yourself a cup and enjoy the sweetness that this brew brings. Overall, this Chemex brew should have taken between 3:30 and 4:30 minutes.
